I am a fiber artist and designer. I love to use yarn and fabric as a medium to create all sorts of interesting, beautiful, and whimsical things to wear.

I attended Pratt Institute where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in Fashion Art & Design. I possess a unique combination of skills, developed during the course of my career in a variety of design positions. I have designed clothing, hats, costumes, banners, inflatables, toys, printed fabrics and embroideries. In all of these positions I have acquired various technical skills, as well as an eye for color, a sense of humor, and a burning desire to take all of this accumulated knowledge and use it to create clothing that represents my own artistic vision..... and so, anneSpirationZ! was born.

I was inspired to create my line of T-Skirts and T-Jax because I had a bag full of old favorite T shirts that did not fit me any more, but I could not bring myself to throw them away. I came up with an idea to make them into a skirt and, voila!, T-Skirts were born. Making a jacket using the same method was the next logical step and T-Jax are the result. My customers have responded favorably to their casual look and comfort, and also to their green re-use factor.

I love making hats. I consider them to be sculptures for the head. They are a great way to express creativity and individuality. I always strive for a design that is original and fun and yet also functional. I produce all kinds of warm winter headgear using wool, fleece, beads, multi-colored and multi-textured yarns. Each hat is made with care, to ensure long-lasting wear. No two are alike. They will add warmth, and a touch of whimsy to your life.

I also created a line of one-of-a-kind hand knitted scarves. When I am knitting I am always on the lookout for interestingly textured, patterned and colored yarns. When I start a new design I compile a group of 5 or 6 yarns that compliment each other and begin knitting with no set plan. As the design evolves, I change colors on my needles like an artist adding paint to a canvas. I am always surprised and pleased with the results. Each completed design suggests a new pattern or color combination for the next.

The beautiful materials I find inspire me. My studio is crammed full of fabrics, yarn, beads, and baubles. I never know what ideas will pop into my head next. It will be fun to find out!
