In
addition to
my jewelry design and fabrication,
now that my children are grown, I find more time for my second love, quilting.
It is pure pleasure being surrounded by all those cloth colors! I love the whole
process from the excitement of cutting and moving pieces around to the meditative
hand quilting.
I fabricate my original
design jewelry in my studio and market it primarily at the Cambridge
Artists' Cooperative where I am a founding member. These disparate formats
of studio and co-op work provide ample opportunity for a balance of variety
and routine, autonomy and community, creativity and concrete action.
My work often includes
Boulder opals. I consider each opal a special treat, as
each is a unique surprise of brilliantly shifting color. To wear one is to always
have handy visual entertainment.
